Ottone Rosai. Poet above all else
Scheduled from March 7 to October 4, 2026, at the Museo del Novecento, the exhibition “Ottone Rosai. Poet above all else” offers a journey that brings together works and documents from the main collections dedicated to the artist, offering an in-depth reading of his relationship with Florence, his most recurring subjects, and his ties to the literary world.
The exhibition, which also dialogues with the exhibition dedicated to Georg Baselitz - who discovered and appreciated Rosai's works in Florence in 1965 - highlights the intimate and reflective dimension of his painting, conveying the complexity of a central figure in twentieth-century culture.
The exhibition is also enriched with archival materials, photographs, and testimonies that document the artist's network of intellectual relationships and his role in the Florentine cultural context, offering the public a broad and nuanced vision of his human and creative journey.
Exhibition hours: From Monday to Sunday from 11.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. Closed on Thursdays.
Venue: Museo Novecento, Florence
