Historic hotel
in the centre of Florence
The Hotel Bernini Palace welcomes guests to its elegant 15th-century palazzo, immersed in the history and beauty of the city. Its privileged position provides access to Via Tornabuoni, symbolic Florentine shopping location, in just minutes, while less than an hour away by car are famous outlets with some of the biggest Italian designer names, including Prada and Gucci.
Inside the property, the La Chiostrina Restaurant offers cuisine attentive to regional and national traditions, in an intimate and evocative environment where taste and atmosphere come together.
History permeates every nook and cranny: in the mid 19th century, during the years when Florence was the capital of the Kingdom of Italy, the hotel became a privileged meeting place for the protagonists of the Risorgimento, who found excellent service and a warm welcome here. Every detail of the Bernini Palace helps tell the history of the building – frescoed ceilings, Renaissance niches, irregular rooms which retain their original structure. The architecture is not just a frame, but an integral part of the experience, heritage which the hotel guards and enhances with daily care.
Today, like in the past, the Bernini Palace continues to offer an authentic and refined experience, able to transform any stay into a unique and unforgettable memory.
Welcome
Here, every guest is welcomed with care, attention and warmth. Our staff, discreet yet always available, are ready to interpret any need, to listen, to anticipate desires, and transform any request into a tailor-made gesture of hospitality.
It is precisely in the dialogue with our guests that the experience grows, in a continuous exchange made up of attention, sensitivity and passion for hospitality.
Fully aware of the value of the place we look after, a palazzo rich in history, charm and elegance, we are constantly committed to preserving its prestige and upholding its vocation for excellence, keeping alive an internationally recognised tradition of hospitality. A unique atmosphere pervades the rooms and spaces of the hotel, which as far back as the mid-19th century was already welcoming persons of the importance of Italy’s heroes of the Risorgimento: it was here, indeed, that members of the early Italian parliament found refreshment and high-quality service in the years when Florence was the capital of Italy.
Today, in the heart of one of Italy's most fascinating cities, the Bernini Palace continues to offer an authentic and refined experience, able to render every stay truly unforgettable.

history
The Hotel Bernini Palace, a prestigious five-star hotel in the heart of Florence, is a 15th-century palazzo a stone's throw from Piazza della Signoria and the Uffizi Gallery. Overlooking the Palazzo Vecchio and near the banks of the Arno, it is based in one of the most authentic and representative settings in the city.
Over the course of its history, the hotel has borne witness to events like those which led Florence to become the capital of the Kingdom of Italy from 1865 to 1870. Frequented by parliamentarians and other important figures, it was a place of political meet-ups and debate, a past which lives on today in the circular frescoes which decorate the Sala Parlamento, that now hosts guests for breakfast.
Culture & Style
In the most iconic part of central Florence, between Palazzo Vecchio and the banks of the Arno, Hotel Bernini Palace welcomes guests to an atmosphere which combines history, elegance and an authentic Florentine charm.
For centuries a benchmark for persons from the world of politics, art and culture, the hotel retains the character of a true city salon, where past and present engage in dialogue naturally.
