San Giovanni's Florence feast
The San Giovanni's feast in Florence commences with the morning Ceremony of the Candles, reaching its pinnacle with a mass officiated by the Archbishop of Florence at the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.
In the afternoon, the final of the Calcio Storico Fiorentino takes place in Piazza Santa Croce, where the four teams representing the historic districts face off in a unique and spectacular event.
In the evening, the “Fochi di San Giovanni” light up the sky with a fireworks display visible from many parts of the city, attracting both locals and tourists.
