Toulouse-Lautrec A Journey into the Paris of the Belle Époque
From 27 September 2025 to 7 June 2026, Florence celebrates Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec with a fascinating exhibition set up in the spaces of the Museo degli Innocenti, dedicated to the genius who, like no one else, captured the spirit of Paris during the Belle Époque. An immersive journey into the heart of Montmartre, among theatres, café-concerts and colourful posters, evoking the lively and irreverent soul of the French capital at the turn of the century.
The exhibition features over 170 works from museums in Hamburg and Albi, accompanied by furnishings, posters, period objects and works by contemporary artists, offering a vivid portrait of an era in which art, music and social life were inextricably intertwined.
Organised and produced by Arthemisia under the patronage of the City of Florence, the exhibition is curated by Dr. Jürgen Doppelstein in collaboration with Cristoforo, the Ernst Barlach Museumsgesellschaft Hamburg and BridgeconsultingPro.
Exhibition hours: daily 9:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.; ticket office closes one hour earlier
