Dolci Conversazioni
On May 31, in the elegant setting of the Hotel Bernini Palace, a “sweet conversation” will take place, designed to delight both the eyes and the palate. The event will feature food-inspired creations by a team of designers, alongside jewel-themed desserts by master pâtissier Sebastiano Caridi.
Dolci conversazioni
The journey of Dolci Conversazioni continues, launched last month: an original and innovative format that travels across the four historic palaces of the Duetorrihotels group — the Grand Hotel Majestic “già Baglioni” in Bologna, the Hotel Bristol Palace in Genoa, the Due Torri Hotel in Verona, and the Hotel Bernini Palace in Florence. The Duetorrihotels group, which has made taste and elegance its signature, has created a concept dedicated to sustainable and ethical jewellery: a travelling exhibition built around the idea of food-themed jewellery—crafted from natural and sustainable materials—and jewel-inspired desserts, drawing from the textures, colours, and refinement of precious materials. On display are the projects of 10 young designers selected through the competition “Ridefinire il gioiello” (“Redefining Jewellery”), curated by Sonia Patrizia Catena to promote a new aesthetic for contemporary jewellery. In each of the Duetorrihotels locations, their creations are paired with those of a renowned local pastry chef, thanks to a collaboration with the Accademia Maestri Pasticceri Italiani.
The fourth and final stage of the project will take place in Florence, at the historic five-star Hotel Bernini Palace, from May 31 to June 13, coinciding with Pitti Immagine Uomo.
Sebastiano Caridi
Sebastiano Caridi, a pastry chef born into the profession, began working in his family’s workshop from a very young age. He fell in love with pastry-making thanks to his father, the well-known Paolo Caridi, who introduced him to the wonderful craft of the pastry chef—always practiced with humility, love, passion, but also sacrifice. At the beginning, nothing comes easy: Sebastiano worked his way up from the bottom, even taking on humble tasks that ultimately led him to deeply appreciate the profession he chose. Faenza is the city where Sebastiano lives with his wife Claudia and his son Leone. From there, he went on to win the television program “Il Più Grande Pasticcere” (“The Greatest Pastry Chef”), presenting the cake RIVELAZIONE (“Revelation”), which has become his signature creation.
