SUPERFLEX
There Are Other Fish In The Sea
From 14 April to 2 August 2026, “There Are Other Fish In The Sea” by SUPERFLEX transforms the courtyard of Palazzo Strozzi into a landscape suspended between reality and imagination: a large pool of water hosts pink travertine columns with irregular surfaces, conceived not only as sculptural elements but as true “shelters” for marine life, bringing aesthetics and ecology together.
The installation invites visitors to move beyond an anthropocentric perspective and to consider new forms of coexistence in the world to come: the work imagines a future in which rising sea levels will submerge many human architectures, turning them into ecosystems inhabited by other species.
Through this vision, the Danish collective offers a reflection on climate change and on the need to rethink architecture as a shared space, capable of accommodating forms of life different from our own.
Exhibition hours: everyday, from 10 a.m. to 08 p.m. On Thursdays until 11 p.m..
Venue: Palazzo Strozzi, Florence
