Duetorrihotels listed in the prestigious “100 Italian Excellences” Guide by Forbes

The group, leader of the Italian hotellerie, achieves a new goal: the prestigious magazine of the Made in Italy Excellences, “So Wine So Food”, recently presented by Forbes Italia, includes the four Duetorrihotels properties of Verona, Bologna, Florence and Genoa in its exclusive selection. The historical and cultural heritage, the strong authenticity and the commitment to sustainability of each hotel of the group, represent the main values of this important success.

All four flagship properties of the Duetorrihotels group have been included in the first edition of the “100 Italian Excellence” guide, curated by So Wine So Food, an international food and wine publication, in collaboration with Forbes Italia.

An important recognition for four properties set in a distinctive context: the Grand Hotel Majestic già Baglioni in Bologna, the Due Torri Hotel in Verona, the Hotel Bernini Palace in Florence, and the Hotel Bristol Palace in Genoa are all housed in historic palaces that enhance the cultural and artistic heritage of some of Italy’s most beautiful art cities. All are located in city centers and are distinguished by an exceptional attention to luxury detail, reflected in the quality of their hospitality, furnishings, and services.

“It’s a great satisfaction to be mentioned in the 100 Italian Excellences collection” said Mr. Franco Vanetti, Duetorrihotels Managing Director “ behind this success are our people and their efforts to meet every single Guest expectation, always enhancing each hotel identity and peculiarity”.  Our properties have different personalities, enriched by the strong connections to their local territories, cultures and histories”.

These hotels deserve an excellent and international reputation, as reported in the guide. The Due Torri in Verona stands out for its history and décor, for the unique Arena Casarini, for its eco-sustainable plans; the Grand Hotel Majestic “già Baglioni”, as described in the guide, represents all the features of Bologna preserving classical frescoes and architectures, historical settings and futurist details.

The Hotel Bernini Palace recounts, from 1550 to the present day, the history of the city — in the Sala Parlamento, now the breakfast room, figures such as Giuseppe Garibaldi, Camillo Benso di Cavour and other great figures of the Risorgimento used to meet, during the period when Florence was the capital of the Kingdom of Italy. Meanwhile, the Hotel Bristol Palace, an elegant Art Nouveau palace — as evidenced by its spectacular marble staircase that inspired Hitchcock’s Vertigo — reflects the character of Genoa, a city defined by openness to the new.
