The bridge connects two banks of the Arno, each worthy of exploration. On one side, Via Por Santa Maria awaits you, leading to the splendid loggia of the Mercato Nuovo, as well as Piazza del Duomo and Piazza della Signoria. On the other side, the Oltrarno welcomes you with its rich tradition, where via dè Guicciardini leads straight to the Pitti Palace.
