The history of the Hotel Bernini Palace
Stile
“A ‘Renaissance’ Christmas in a city of art and culture. The Bernini Palace in Florence is looking forward to celebrating the festive season with you in a setting of rare beauty. We will be delighted to spend this magical period together in our fifteenth-century palazzo. This old building of ours boasts a long tradition of hospitality: as early as the eighteenth century it was the first hotel in Florence to be equipped with hot water for guests – a rarity at the time – and stables for their horses. It was reopened in 2021 after a series of renovations. So the coming Christmas holidays will be an opportunity to admire the newly restored Florentine pietra serena (grey sandstone) staircase and the restyled the rooms and corridors – and to enjoy the comfort of what we like to think of as your home from home in Florence.
In 2021 we opened the doors of the palazzo digitally to tell you about these and other novelties through the pages of this Blog. In the meantime, we wish to thank you for the time you have spent together with us. Looking forward to seeing you again, in person or virtually, we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.”
